Our mission statement is to provide children, caregivers, and families with a safe space to play, explore, and learn.
What is a village, and who needs one?
Little Explorers came to fruition because a space not only providing an educational focus, but also providing families with the opportunity to become a piece of something larger than themselves, did not yet exist. What we have found is that the community needed this space and welcomed it with open arms. Being a caregiver is filled with challenges, opportunities, and growth, and our mission is to be a part of that development.
Commitment to quality
How we ensure quality and all aspects of Little Explorers is through continual innovation and communication. Team Leaders prepare their classes with a particular focus on implementation and a goal of fostering cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. All LE classes should feel familiar in format, but feel new in content and creativity. Communication is key. Please remember to reach out any time you have questions or concerns, and invite the caregivers to do the same.
Training overview
The LE Certification Program Unit 1 is broken down into 4 sections as follow:
I. Mission & Training Overview
II Safety Guidelines
III. Parent Partnership
IV. LE Culture & Components of Playful Learning Classes
Technology requirements
To successfully complete this training program, the learner must have a computer or laptop with access to a reliable internet connection. The learner will also need to watch videos and complete assessments for each unit. Finally, the learner will need access to a microphone and camera (phone with stand or computer) to submit audio and video recordings.
Assessment expectations
Assessing learners has several benefits. First, as a learner, you will receive a certificate of successful completion of this program. Second, assessments prepare the learner to internalize and practice leading a successful playful learning class.
