Welcome to the LE Certification Program! We are so happy you are here, and we hope that you will be able to implement what you learn directly into your own playful learning class. Once you go through this unit, you will be given all the resources and materials you will need to succeed as an LE Leader.
At the end of this unit, you will be ready to use original LE curriculum and materials to lead and teach your own playful learning class with little to no guidance from an experienced leader. You will be able to answer questions from parents and caregivers regarding our safety guidelines, playful learning class procedures, expectations for adult involvement in the space, and the village culture.
Start by clicking on Section I below and then complete the assessment before moving onto the three sections that follow.
How to navigate this unit
You can refer to this LE Certification Program page to access each section below, or you can find the "More" button in the navigation bar and see the four different sections listed there. Please make sure you view the resources and complete the assessments located in each section.
Understand the role of the sibling(s) and parent(s) of the LE member during the playful learning class, and encourage a partnership between LE leaders and parents/guardians.
Examine the LE culture, including the "bee" terminology and family-centered atmosphere. Analyze the breakdown of the different components of a typical playful learning class.
Please reach us at Contact@littleexplorerspalmharbor.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
To complete the four sections above (unit 1), and submit the assignments, it would take approximately 2-4 hours. To complete the rest of the certification, it would take another 4-6 hours, so a total of 6-10 hours to be fully certified.
You would need a steady internet connection with a computer and a microphone/webcam either built into the computer or separate.
Feel free to reach out to Caroline or Mallory in the private Facebook group anytime with questions regarding lessons and content material. For technical issue, please reach out to Lydia at lanise@gwu.edu.
